Kayla passed the 18 week mark yesterday and she's doing great. She's babbling a lot more now and trying to figure out what sounds she can make. Yesterday, Mike put together her exersaucer - the 1st of many fun toys for him to assemble I'm sure. (there was lots of swearing)
I've attached a picture of her in the exersaucer so you can see how well she's doing holding her head up.

Kayla has been using her hands more and more now. She will grab things that are held out to her. This past weekend while I was feeding her she grabbed the sides of her bottle. I was able to let go of the bottle and she held it in place and kept drinking.
I also tried putting her face out in the Baby Bjorn. She seemed to like it. She definately likes to look around at her environment. When she is outside she really seems interested in trees, especially when there are branches overhead. It may be that inside there is nothing that is not more than a few feet away, and then when she is outside suddenly the world gets a lot bigger.
She is looking around a lot when she is in the car seat as well though she is not fond of being put in it.
