Kayla just turned 9 months old this past weekend and she's doing great! She still has no teeth and other than a little bit of drool every now and then, I see no signs of them coming soon. Over the past week, she's really started crawling. Just as Mike and I were starting to get comfortable, we realize we're in trouble now. For now, she's just doing a "military" crawl kind of dragging her tummy, but she can get from here to there pretty quickly. She's a very determined girl. She likes to make her way over to our DVD's and pull every single one off the shelf.

We'd guess she weighs maybe 20-21 lbs now. She's still wearing size three diapers, still drinking 26-32 oz of formula a day, and still eating baby food 3 times a day. We're trying to give her more mashed table food every now and then but the baby food is just too easy to prepare.

She also enjoys having books read to her. Well, let's just say she's progressed from eating the books to wanting to turn the pages all the time. Her favorite books include Good Night Moon, Elmo (So Big), and Papa Papa.

We're really enjoying this stage of her life. She sleeps through the night, is pretty interactive and happy, and doesn't talk back yet!

Pictures of Kayla are terrific and the one with Bobbie is also good. On the other hand, I see a strange foot in one picture. Looking closely, the leg and foot look like that of Homo Neanderthalensis. I thought that species has been extinct. Or, of course, it cold be Michael's leg and foot which just needs washing.

Love the picture of Kayla crawling and her tongue sticking out to the side. Looks to me like she's trying to figure out what the best trouble she can cause mom and dad is. Just wait until she is walking and can open doors; then there's no place that's safe!
