Here's a few more pictures of Kayla from the weekend. We had the neighbors over for dinner today so here she is playing with Gillian who is 9 months older than her. Kayla loved having her and her brother Ian over. They're so funny to watch together. Occasionally they'll both go for the same toy and you hear both yell "mine!", but for the most part I think they're starting to enjoy each others company. They'll both look at the same book and laugh at the pictures. It's cute.

I also pulled out a few of Kayla's old bottles so she could use them to feed her dolls. Here she's feeding Elmo.

AH, THE TODDLER YEARS

At just over 19 months old, Kayla seems to want to "help" us with everything. That includes moving clothes from the washer to the dryer, unloading the dishwasher, and watering the garden. The problem is when you tell her we're done. (see picture)

This past week, we had her 18 month checkup (a month late). Just to update you on her stats, she's 23.5 lbs and her height and weight are both within the 15-25th percentile. So, she's petite. She did not like the Dr's office at all. She basically starts screaming hysterically when we start heading down the hallway. It's a shame she's smart enough to know what's coming. It was much easier when she didn't. She got 3 shots this past week. I know one was a Hep-A, but I can't remember the other 2. After the visit, she recovered great though. She finished crying as soon as we left.

Here's a blog entry for all the football fans...

Kayla's future high school, Plant High, just won the Florida State championships a couple weeks ago. It's been crazy around town since there's a lot of alumni living near us. And, tonight, her future college (if her parents have their way) -- Florida, is playing for the National championship. GO GATORS!

They're playing Ohio State and we should mention that Kayla has lots of ties to Ohio. She says she'll be happy whoever wins.

Here's a couple pictures from the past week. Kayla has inherited some great stuff from the neighbors including a tricycle, Little Tikes slide, rocking horse, bike seat and swing. She loves riding her tricycle. I think it makes her feel like one of the big kids.
