Here's a few more pictures from the month.

Kayla is now 21 months old - only 3 months shy of being 2!

She's thriving at school these days. Some days she gets excited as she enters the building just at the sight of her friends. Every day last week, the teachers there told me how smart she is. (Well, of course I agreed with them.) They can't believe how much she can talk for her age and I can't either. She knows most of the kids and teachers names and verbally she does very well. She pointed at one boy last week and said "Mark, don't do that." The teachers asked what he did and she said, "I don't know." And one day we were leaving school and when I went out the door, she said, "Mommy, my jacket" and she was right. I had to go back in and get her jacket.

As for her personality, I had thought she was a little bit shy but lately not so much. At the Villages, they would have live music at the downtown square every Saturday and she would run right out and start to dance - even when no one else was. She'll just clap her hands, bounce up and down, sway back and forth, and spin around in a circle. It's pretty funny to watch.

Her health is good too. Her eye looks good and she's outgrown her respiratory problems. Although she did have a sinus infection a few weeks ago followed by a bad diaper rash/fungal infection. I swear, I never knew there were so many things kids could come down with.

It's been awhile since we've updated the blog, so here's some pictures from March. Weekends during the month were spent at the Villages, the retirement community where Nana and Pop-Pop stay every year at this time.

One night, we went out to dinner at Cracker Barrel where Kayla challenged Daddy to a game of checkers. Don't they look intense? And, one weekend, Aunt Kristi came to visit and Kayla got a lot of airplane rides (like you see here). In the last picture Kayla gets to drive a golf cart that Pop-pop rented for the weekend. She loved riding back and forth to the pool in it.

Kayla is getting really talkative these days. She wants to know what everything is called. She is speaking in two and three word sentences and can repeat just about anything you say.

She also can say her full name, though Kayla comes out more like Tia. She can also count to 10 in English and Spanish, though she still can't balance a checkbook.

She recently saw her friend Justin as he celebrated his third birthday at the zoo. She had a great time except when we took her to feed the giraffe and she did not like that big head coming at her.
