Here is a short video of Kayla singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I will start adding more of these in the future.

Kayla was busy getting ready for Christmas these last couple of weeks (although not as busy as Santa!). She baked Christmas cookies and insisted on rolling the dough and cutting out the cookies herself. We told her that she had to leave cookies and milk out for Santa and she got a very concerned look on her face. She explained that he could have 1 cookie and a little milk but that was all. He wasn't going to eat all her cookies.

On Christmas day, she got a lot of really great gifts including a kitchen set, easel, train, pretty outfits, puzzles, a playdoh set, a beautiful umbrella, stuffed animals, crocs, books, the Shrek trilogy, and some more money for her college fund! She was really wound up on Christmas Day. I think this was the year she realized how much fun Christmas can be.

In the afternoon, her good friends Kurt and Cole stopped by to give her a ride in their new Christmas present -- a mini F150 Ford Truck. She loved it. It was hilarious to see Kurt drive her around in it. We'll try to get some video of it for the blog soon!

This past Saturday, Kayla's school put on their Christmas program. We had no idea what to expect and we walked in and there were thousands of little kids running around! Well, maybe it just seemed like a thousand.

Kayla's group (the 2-year olds) went first and got to sing Rudolph. They wore antlers and shook bells. It was funny to watch them try to organize them to sing as some started crying and they all had this look on their face wondering what was going on.

After they had to get off stage, Kayla decided to run back on stage a few acts later when the 4-year olds were singing. They were a little more organized and into it than the 2-year olds as you can imagine. I frantically started waving to Kayla to come back off the stage as all the 4-year olds parents were trying to video tape their kids with her standing in the way. It was no big deal though since there was a lot of chaos anyway.

After all the kids sang, Santa showed up. Kayla patiently waited her turn only to tell Santa that she didn't want to sit on his lap, she just wanted a lollipop. He was a pretty good Santa and she ended up liking him in the end. She left telling him she wanted a train for Christmas.

We went up to Ohio for Thankgiving this year. Here's a picture above of the Moon side of the family. Everyone had a good time at Bonnie's house and we got to see the beautiful new siding on her house.

Kayla stayed at Nana and Pop Pop's house and had a ball. They had a little toddler bed that Kayla liked to sleep in since it was just her size. Pop Pop also had an old model train that she loved and she liked to blow the whistle for it. It was pretty cold and we got to see snow, although not that much. Here's a picture of Kayla with Nana and Pop Pop wishing everyone peace this holiday season.

We had a very busy weekend a couple of weeks ago. She had a visit from her Grandpa Bob, then she saw the Wiggles and then we went to Cypress Gardens with our friends. Kayla, Jack, and Daniel had a ball riding all the rides. There were several they could ride -- some on their own, and some with an adult. They did a high slide, swings, double carousel, a roller coaster, a train, and more. They ran from ride to ride until we left at about 3pm and they instantly fell asleep on the ride home. Here is a picture of Kayla and Jack. Can you see the expressions on their faces!

Here's a shot of Kayla after having a blue lollipop. That was her reward for going potty! She's doing really well on the potty training. She can make it through a lot of the day in her pull ups without wetting them and she's been using the potty at school a lot too. It's mostly when she's having too much fun that she doesn't want to take the time to use the potty.
