I picked Kayla up from school today and her afternoon teachers remarked how well she speaks and enunciates her words. She said that Kayla told her she's going swimming over at her Grandma's pool tonight and her Grandma has a swimsuit for her and also one for Maxwell.

Kayla does speak well and lately she seems to have a vivid imagination. I had to tell the teacher that none of Kayla's Grandmas actually live in the state so going swimming with them was unlikely tonight!

Kayla started preschool this week and so far she seems to love it. She gets to carry her snack box every day which we fill with a couple snacks and water. Her mornings are spent in a classroom of 8 girls, 8 boys, 2 teachers and an aide. They get some stories, learning activities, music time, and then outside to a nice large shaded playyard with lots of room for them to run.

At noon, Kayla and others that are staying for afternoon care move to another room. She gets lunch and then an hour and a half nap on little cots. Then, it's a little play time inside, a snack and then some more play time outside.

She's had a good week so far - well with the exception of school cancelled due to hurricane warnings her second day and then she needed to be absent on Wednesday from catching a virus.

Here's a picture of her after school today with the crowns they made. She actually prefers to wear dresses these days. She told us that everyone told her they liked her dress today!
