While we were in Munster for Grandma Blueberry's funeral, Kayla, Grandma Sue, Bobbie and I took a trip to Chicago to see the Museum of Science and Industry. Kayla loved it, especially the chicks. They have a large incubator where you can watch chicken eggs while they hatch. Kayla really enjoyed watching the little chicks runs around.

This picture is next to a locomotive that you can climb in and see all the inner workings of a train engine. They also had a full size combine that you can pretend to drive (complete with a movie of a corn field being harvested in front of you to give you the full effect). It was a fun day.

Here's a few pictures from Kayla's dance recital last weekend. There were about 11 girls in Kayla's class and they put on a really good show. It was to the song "Sisters" by Rosemary Clooney -- very cute!

We congratulated the girls with flowers after their stunning performance. After the recital, the girls went back on stage for some free style dancing to Beyonce's hit 'Single Ladies'. That's when Kayla decided to try the split (in the picture above).

They had fun. It's also good to have a break from dance class for a while. Now, we've started her on swim lessons in hope that she'll be swimming on her own soon.

A few weeks ago, just before Easter, Kayla's Great Grandma Blueberry passed away unexpectedly. We had only last October celebrated her 90th birthday and thought she would still be going strong and perhaps in 10 years be celebrating her 100th.

We loved her dearly and we will miss her.
