What a weekend -- Happy Father's Day Daddy and Happy Birthday Kayla!

Saturday, we celebrated Kayla's 4th birthday. We went to a gymnastics center for the kids to do tumbling, bounce houses, and trampolines. The kids seemed to have fun and Kayla enjoyed sharing her birthday with all her good friends.

It was funny - before we left for the party she decided she needed to make cards for all her friends. She frantically colored and folded lots of paper cards and took them with her. Towards the end of the party, she remembered them and passed them out to all her friends. They didn't have much on them, but it was important for her to give each of them a card!

Her friends in attendance included:

Kurt and Cole
Ava
Gillian
Jacqueline
Jack, Daniel, and Colin
Lauren and Hayley
Max
Cameron and Caroline

Kayla seemed to enjoy her party so much, that she was in bed by 7:30!

She must be loved because she got a lot of good gifts from friends and family:

My Little Pony (pony and dress up outfits)
Snow White outfit
Barbie Bike
Books
a Kite
Fancy Nancy Glitter puzzle
Rosetta and Fairy dolls
Disney oven
Disney gem game
Play Doh (coco nutty monkey)
Tag word game
Toy Medical Kit
cute Lily Pulitzer ducky shorts and matching jacket
a beautiful Pink outfit and matching rain jacket and bow
gift cards and cash

Today (Sunday) is Father's day and Kayla decided to try out her new Disney oven and bake some cupcakes for Daddy!

We have a baby on the way and Friday we went to do a sonogram and find out if it is going to be a boy or girl. We took Kayla along so she could be there and see the baby as well. It's a boy!

When the technician told us that it was a boy, Kayla burst into tears crying that "I want a sister not a brother." A little later she told us that she was going to call the baby "Baby Trashcan". Eventually she decided that a brother wouldn't be so bad and when she got back to school she had to show everyone pictures of her little brother.

The above picture is the normal sonogram picture of our little boy, then we got a bonus. We got lucky and they also had the newer high tech sonogram and got the picture below. It is almost like having a camera in the womb.

It was really neat seeing him moving around. We are all very excited.
