At the end of July we had a quick visit up to Niagara Falls. They are spectacular. While we were there we took a ride on the "Maid of the Mist". In the picture above you can see the boat at the base of the falls. It gets right in close in the middle of the Horseshoe Falls. You are surrounded by them, it is thunderously wet and noisy and awe-inspiring.

We had a great room overlooking the falls. Here is a picture showing the view out the window. We were able to watch fireworks from the window that they shot over the falls. Plus at night the falls are lit up and are quite a sight.

Kayla had her 4-year check up with the pediatrician about a week ago. Poor thing got 4 shots (vaccinations) that left some bruises on her thighs. She didn't cry until the last shot and I sure couldn't blame her. The spots on her legs were swollen for several days. She also got her 1st vision and hearing test and passed both. Here are her other stats:

25% percentile for height and weight which is consistent with last year
weight: 34 lbs.
height: 38 1/2 inches

Clothes: 4T, size 9-10 shoe

Lately, some of her favorite sayings include "oh, man" and "pleease"
For example, if I say come and eat dinner, she says, "Oh, man." And, if I walk in on her in her room when she's coloring a picture, she'll say, "Mommy, pleeease" as if I shouldn't be interrupting her.
