We recently traveled to Indiana to celebrate Great Grandma Blueberry's 90th birthday. The party was a lot of fun and Kayla was quite a social butterfly- going around to all the tables to say Hi and show everyone a dancing hamster. We also got to be there for her Grandma Sue's birthday and her Great Uncle Bob and Great Uncle Jim's birthday as well. Kayla definitely got her fill of desserts.

One highlite of the trip was a brunch at the American Girl store in Chicago. We had brunch with Kayla, Mommy, Grandma Sue, a couple of dolls and Daddy. The American Girl Store was quite an experience. Besides the restaurant where you could have brunch or tea with the dolls, you could bring your doll in for hair styling, or even take any injured dolls to the doll hospital.

Kayla really enjoyed having tea with her doll friend.

Daddy did his best to maintain his dignity.

We also got to do a side trip to see Great Grandma Alyce. It was fun to see her. Where she is staying there is a giant birdcage that Kayla absolutely loves. There are probably 20 birds inside it. Last time we we were there a few had eggs.

It was a nice vacation and great to see so much family.
